The MCC-Solomon Islands Threshold Program is a partnership agreement between the Government of the Solomon Islands and the U.S. Government through its Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

This $20 million investment from the American people aims to address the country’s biggest constraints to economic growth: ineffective management of natural resources in the forestry sector and lack of secure access to land, which limits tourism investment. Together we are working in partnership to create greater opportunities for Solomon Islanders through two projects: the Forest Value Enhancement Project (FoVEP) and the Accessing Land for Tourism Investment Facilitation (ALTIF).

This EOI seeks to identify and license existing, high-quality photographic and video content relevant to SITHP activities. The approach recognises the logistical challenges and cost associated with travel to remote locations in Solomon Islands and aims to support efficient program delivery while ensuring access to professional-standard visual material for communications and reporting.

We are seeking high-quality images (complete photo sets) and video footage of the locations listed below. These will be used to build communications materials including:

  • Website content and social media
  • Program reports and publications
  • Presentations and promotional materials
  • Documentary storytelling about our conservation and tourism development work

Content submitted must not have been commissioned, funded, or otherwise supported (in whole or in part) by any donor, development partner, government program, NGO, or commercial entity.

SITHP is seeking footage of the following priority locations (Footage from 2022-2026)

Western Province

  • Munda: Agnes Lodge, waterfront, surrounding landscape
  • New Georgia: Viru Harbor, community settings, forest landscapes
  • Gizo: Olosana, Varu, Kolohite, Kuri Point, coastal areas, tourism infrastructure, community life

Isabel Province

  • Sasari: forest landscapes, community engagement, natural resources

Guadalcanal Province

  • Bloody Ridge: historical site, surrounding terrain, development activities
  • Honiara: urban settings, infrastructure, government buildings, harbor

Malaita Province

  • Kira: coastal landscapes, community settings

Makira Province

  • Frigate Island / Nafinua: infrastructure, coastal and marine environments

If you have content from any of these locations, please email tenders@sithp.com.sb, with subject line EOI Comms01 Photography and Videography Content by 6 July 2026 with:

  1. A brief description of available content (locations, quantities, formats)
  2. Sample images or links to your portfolio
  3. Submissions should also include basic metadata for proposed content, including date, location, and subject description.
  4. Proposed fee for your work (inclusive of licensing and usage in perpetuity)
